After South, CM outreach public in North Kashmir Mehbooba visits Kupwara; conducts grievance redressal camp

Kupwara: Continuing with her public outreach programme, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti today visited Kupwara and conducted a grievance redressal camp to know of people’s difficulties and problems.

From the morning till late in the evening, the Chief Minister met scores of deputations from different walks of life who apprised of her problems and sought their redressal.

People in general demanded opening of Bungus valley to tourists, augmentation of drinking water, health, power and improvement in the road networks in the district.

A deputation from Drugmulla demands for Big Power supply transformer, Water lift Secheme, Girls Hr Sec School, Drugmulla Hospital Should run for 24×7.

A deputation of people from Jumagund demanded upgradation of Zirhama-Jumagund road and improvement in the health facilities in the town besides stocking of adequate quantity of ration and provision of bunkers to the people living on the zero line.

Another deputation from Machil sought upgradation of Middle School, Ring Bala, opening of a JK Bank branch at Chuntiwari, first aid centre at Misri Behak besides construction of Machil House at Srinagar.

A deputation of people from Fekian, Keran sought upgradation of health facilities, availability of roads, setting up of fire station and setting up of a health centre at Mandian village on the zero line.

They also demanded a bus for Higher Secondary, Keran.

A deputation of members of Gujjar & Bakerwal community sought setting up of residential school and coaching for competitive examinations for the students of the community.

Many deputations from Langate constituency also met the Chief Minister. A deputation from the town demanded banning the mechanized extraction of building material from nallah Mawar, raising of banks of the nallah, setting up of a Maternity & Childcare hospital in the town.

Another deputation from Qazigund sought augmentation of local grid station, carving out of an educational zone and augmentation of Ashpora and Kralgund hospitals. A deputation from Mawar area demanded augmentation of Qalamabad hospital, flood protection works on Hardkhari nallah and play field at upper Rajwara.

During her two day visit to the town, the Chief Minister would be inaugurating many developmental projects in the district tomorrow.

Minister for Rural Development & Law, Abdul Haq Khan; MP, Fayaz Ahmad Mir; legislators, Bashir Ahmad Dar, Raja Manzoor and Farooq Mirchal; heads of several Departments; Chiefs of many Engineering wings and officers of District administration were present on the occasion.

It may be recalled here that the Chief Minister started her massive public outreach programme last Sunday from Pulwama during which hundreds of people apprised her about their problems and difficulties.

In many cases, Mehbooba Mufti had directed redressal of grievances on the spot.
