Ryan reopens after 16-day halt, amid tightened security

Gurgaon, Sept 25 ; A fortnight after remaining closed due to the murder of a seven-year-old student, Ryan International School, situated in the Bhondsi area of this Haryana district here, reopened amid heightened security measures.
According to a school official, Ryan has installed 40 new CCTV cameras, apart from changing the security agency responsible for guarding the premises.
The school, which came to limelight after the body of Class 2 student Pradyuman Thakur was found in a pool of blood at the school’s toilet on September 8, had earlier reopened on September 18 also, with thin attendance.
However, it was ordered to shut down as security lapses were found, even 10 days after Pradyuman’s death.
Police had arrested 42-year-old bus conductor Ashok Kumar on September 8 evening, apprehending his involvement in the murder.
