JRL denounces NIA for extending judicial remand Condemns detention of PhD scholar

 

Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership including, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr. Muhammad Omar Farooq and Muhamad Yaseen Malik on Wednesday said that state authorities surpassed all limits and while denouncing the NIA for extending the judicial remand of incarcerated Hurriyat leaders till 17th October and issuing fresh summons to sixty more students ,added that we are seriously looking into the developments and while taking all other concern quarters on board will take appropriate steps in this regard.

JRL said that that puppet regime stands exposed and they have lost their credibility. While commenting over the unending detention of Hurriyat leaders including Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Pir Saif ullah, Meraj-u-Din Kalwal, Nayem Ahmed Khan and Farooq Ahmed Dar, added that authorities are using NIA as war weapon and implicating resistance leaders in fabricated and false cases and subjecting them to vengeance.

In a joint statement issued to media, JRL strongly condemned the detention of PhD scholar and added that state coercion and force will have its consequences and it is universal truth that wherever the innocent people are harassed and human rights tormented, the reaction is obvious and quite expected, said they.

Instead of taking any action against erring forces personnel, involved in violence, the authorities are harassing student community, said leadership.

Leaders in their joint statement said that pushing NIA into service, the authorities are terrorizing and harassing political leadership, trader’s community, university professors, students, doctors, scholars, advocates and innocent citizens.

Significance of the Kashmir issue will never fade, said leadership in their joint statement and added that India can never break our resolve, nor can bring an iota of change in the nature of Kashmir issue.

They should understand the gravity of the issue, said leadership while addressing authorities in New Delhi and urged to fulfil its commitment and resolve issue, keeping in mind its historical background.

Paying rich tributes to Hizb ul Mujahedeen slain commander Ab Qayoom Najar, the JRL said that he devoted his whole life for the freedom of nation and strived for a sacred cause.

They extended their heartfelt condolences to slain youth who succumbed to his injuries today and while praying for them, expressed solidarity and prayed for their forbiddance and persistence to bear this irreparable loss.

JRS expressed their deep concern over the incidents of braid chopping in south Kashmir and urged locals, Mohalla and Masjid committees to keep close vigil over miscreants involved in these immoral activities and expose them in public.

Criticizing state authorities, JRL said that virtually they have handed over south Kashmir to its ruthless forces and unleashing a reign of terror against innocent people, thus creating chaos.

We are monitoring the situation deeply and keenly, said leadership and added that keeping in mind the sensitivity of the issue will come with the appropriate strategy.

The resistance leadership expressed their deep concern over the falling health of detainees in jail and strongly denounced the slapping of PSA on Ab Hameed Dar and shifting him to Kot Bhalwal.

Resenting the fresh arrest spree, the leadership said that people in state are resisting the forced occupation since past 70 years.

People are being pushed to wall said JRL and warned authorities of dire consequences in case atrocities are not stopped forthwith, said JRL.
