New Delhi: Senior NC leader and MLC Qaiser Jamshed Lone was awarded the prestigious ‘Mahatma Gandhi Excellence Award’ at Indian International Centre New Delhi for his unrelenting contributions in politics and social work. Lone became MLA at a young age and has served as President of the youth wing of Jammu Kashmir National Conference. He is also the district president Kupwara of National Conference. Lone belongs to a noble political family from Lolab Kupwara and is known for his polite, honest and down to earth demeanour. Lone is one among the youngest politicians in public office and has been actively raising public issues in the Upper House of J&K Legislature. He was conferred with the award for his tireless dedication and honesty. “I will continue my endeavour to raise and resolve public issues” Lone said while receiving the award at IIC New Delhi.
