Srinagar, Oct 14 :One person was killed and over six others were injured when security forces allegedly opened fire to disperse stone pelting demonstrators, who were trying to disrupt the search operation against holed up militants in Pulwama on Saturday morning.
However, police said a civilian was killed during the encounter between the militants and security forces near the encounter site.
The trouble started immediately after news spread that two local militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), including a commander, were killed in an encounter at Litter, following which hundreds of people in the nearby areas hit the streets, trying to move towards encounter site.
