Sanitation drive in Baltal” reviewed by Tasaduq Mufti under CM’s grievance cell at Sonamarg
Ganderbal: Stating that improvement in sanitation at Sonamarg, Baltal route and other tourist places in the state is prime focus for the government, Coordinator, Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, Tassaduq Hussain Mufti urged the officials of SDA to maintain utmost levels of sanitation in the Yatra base camps and a tourist destination of Sonamarg.
Tasaduq visited Sonamarg and Baltal area to reviewed the progress of developmental works and sanitation drive in the Baltal base camp along tracks and in Sonamarg.
During the visit, Tasaduq was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer Sonamarg Development Authority, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Raina (KAS), along with SDA daily wagers, Municipal Committee and officers of other departments. On return from tour one officer from SDA department, informed that the Base camp, besides other tracks have been properly cleaned with the joint efforts of CM’s grievance cell (team) along with the squad of Chief Executive Officer Sonamarg Development Authority.
On the occasion, the participants cleared garbage from the area and raised awareness about need to preserve environment. Among others, SDA president Mushtaq Ahmad Lone (Shutkadi) was also present.
“The Chief Executive Officer, Sonamarg Development Authority, has been asked to ensure the lifting of residual wastage in area of Sonamarg and Baltal and its proper disposal before the onset of winter, and also informed to inclose different plants on the right side of the Srinagar Leh National highway at the meadow of Sonamarg,” he said.
