Congress welcomes Hardik’s decision on sealing quota deal

New Delhi, Nov 22:  The Congress on Wednesday welcomed Patidar leader Hardik Patel’s acceptance of ‘Congress formula’ on the vexed reservation issue in Gujarat and said it would be proper now for both sides to contest the crucial state elections together.

“I was in Ahmedabad for detailed discussions (with Hadik Patel)…we tried to discuss all issues. He had presented his points of views. We have tried to keep the constitutional matter in mind. Today, Hardik Patel said he accepted the Congress stand on the issue. I am very glad that he has said so,” senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal said here.

So both sides will be contesting the elections together, he said.
