Jaunpur, Nov 25 : Three people died and two were critically injured when the car they were travelling in dashed against a tree in Kerakat area of the district on Friday night.
According to police, the occupants of the car from Makhdoompur village were travelling on Maudhela-Thanagaddi highway when the driver lost control over the steering and the car hit a ‘sheesham’ tree.
Due to the impact of the speed, the car got stuck in the tree trunk.
A JCB had to be pressed into service to extricate the mangled remains of the car.
Three deceased were identified as Subhash Yadav, Sandeep and Munnu.
