SRINAGAR: Residents of Kanitar area of Zadibal constituency are alleged that the concern Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and government has ignored the grass root development in the area.
Residents alleged that the area sans street lights, proper drainage system besides there is no availability of electric poles. Adding that the road connectivity is also dilapidated, rendering entire populace to suffer.
“The Kanitar sadarbal area has been totally neglected. We have brought the issues into the notice of concern MLA several times, but nothing was done”, said Farhan Kitab, a local resident. Residents claim that they are being neglected due to political vendetta.
However when contacted MLA Zadibal, Abid Ansari, he said the maximum area of the Kanitar falls under the Hazratbal constituency.
He adds, “No one has approached me so far from the area. I have done 70% of developmental work in the Zadibal constituency. Let them meet me, I will resolve the issue”.
