M.S Dhoni visits DPS, interacts with students, teachers
SRINAGAR, NOV 28: Former Indian cricket team captain M S Dhoni on Tuesday visited the Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar and interacted with the teachers and students of the school.
Dhoni, who is also honorary Lt. Col in Indian army, appreciated the school’s contribution for the visually impaired children.
A spokesman said that Dhoni hailed the school authorities for the recently-held cricket match of visually impaired, which was first of its kind in the valley sponsored by Delhi Public School Srinagar.
“He visited the Special Educational Needs department of the school and interacted with visually impaired children there,” said the spokesman.
“He appreciated the school’s efforts towards creating a wonderful inclusive model of education, which very few schools have in the country. Mr Dhoni committed that on his next visit to valley, he will play a match with the students and teachers of the school,” he said.
On Sunday, Dhoni was the chief guest at the final match of a cricket tournament organized by the army in Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. (PTK)
