Srinagar, Dec 14: In a tragic accident, one person was killed on the spot and ten others injured when a matador met with an accident at Gantalipora in Anantnag district of south Kashmir today.
The driver of the matador, bearing registration No JK03A B-4077, which was on way to Anantnag from Khiram, lost control over the wheels and turned turtle at Gantalipora near Bijbehara, 45 kms from here, resulting in the instant death of its conductor Aqib Hussain Bhat (22) and injuries to ten others , officials said.
The injured passengers were shifted to Bijbehara hospital where from three were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Medical Superintendent of Sub-district hospital Bijbehara said three injured were referred to Srinagar hospital while seven others are being treated in the hospital. (Kashmir Wire)
