Bettiah, Jan 16 : Police recovered the body of a minor girl from a sugarcane field at Koluhawa village under Chautarwa police station area in West Champaran district late last night.
Police said here today that the body of 14 year old girl, daughter of one Ramvilas Bhar was recovered from the sugarcane field after villagers started searching for her when she did not return to her residence till late evening yesterday.
Source said the girl had gone to collect leaves from the sugarcane field when she went
missing.Police said the body had been sent for autopsy.
Sources said it was suspected that outlaws raped the girl before killing her.
