Two injured in accidental blast at Army Ordinance Depot in South Kashmir
Anantnag, Jan 16: At least two army porters were wounded when an accidental blast rocked an army camp at Khundro in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Sources said that blast created panic in the area, however, it was not clearly known, what caused the blast.
Insiders said that blast occurred in Ammunition Depot. The two porters present nearby were injured. They were shifted to hospital.
Khundru is one of the biggest ordnance depots in Kashmir Valley. In August 2007, at least three persons, one of them a civilian, were killed and over 40 others had injured in the accidental blast at 21 Field Ordnance Depot here.
The depot is located inside a heavily guarded Indian Army camp. (CNS)
