SC to hear pleas of Raj, MP on Padmaavat on Tuesday

New Delhi, Jan 22 : The Supreme Court said on Monday it will hear the pleas of the Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh state governments on Tuesday seeking modification in it’s earlier order in connection with the controversial Hindi Film, Padmaavat.

Both the state governments — Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh — on Monday knocked the doors of the apex court pleading for a modification of the apex court’s earlier order.

A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dipak Misra and also comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud, said, “we would hear both the state government’s pleas tomorrow”.
