ATM fraudster nabbed after 2 years
Mumbai, Jan 24 : Two years after the crime, the police finally arrested an accused, who decamped with Rs 28 lakhs from the ATM machine of a bank at Andheri here.
The alleged accused, Hitesh Radheyshyam Pathak was nabbed from Jharkhand, after police received a tip-off about his presence in a certain locality there.
Interestingly, Pathak was an employee of one of the ATM machine manufacturing companies and was hence, well aware of how to ‘unlawfully’ insert the PIN number of different machines to withdrew money.
On the day of the incident, he located an ATM machine in Andheri which was made by the company where he worked.
Bank employees lodged an FIR after the incident.
