Fresh WD active, rain-snow predicted in Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 22 : A fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is still active in the region which could result in rain and snow during the next 72 hours in Kashmir valley.
Meanwhile, the night temperature remained above normal though the days have become chilly in the afternoon due to overcast conditions despite the Sun appearing for a brief period on Thursday morning.
A Met department spokesperson told UNI that light snow or rain would occur at isolated places during the next 24 hours in the state.
However, he said rain and snow would occur at many places during the subsequent three days.
Even though there was an improvement of 2 degree from Wednesday in the night temperature, the border town of Kargil was the coldest in the region at minus 7.
