Srinagar, Apr 12 : National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President Omar Abdullah have greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, hoping the state to usher in a new era of peace and prosperity.
In a message, Dr Farooq Abdullah extended his greetings to the people, especially Sikh Sangat and expressed the hope that the festival, which is being observed as New Year as also the founding day of Khalsa Panth, will be celebrated in true spirit of the State’s composite culture.
Highlighting the State’s glorious heritage of religious harmony and cultural diversity, National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah also extended greetings to the people and prayed for peace and tranquility.
Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana has also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi.
