Don’t opt the way of destruction: JKPCC chief to students

Condemns Govt for ordering closure of coaching centers

Srinagar, Apr 24 : Condemning the government order regarding the closure of coaching centres in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, G A Mir on Tuesday appealed students to highlight their issues and demands in a peaceful manner.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of the party function in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the JKPCC chief said that the students shouldn’t opt the way of destruction. “I appeal the students to highlight their issues and demands in a peaceful manner. I believe protesting peacefully would be better than opting the way of destruction as it would only affect their education,” he added.
Mir said that the government has failed at every front and likewise it failed in keeping the schools open for students. “The government should have counselled the students in a proper manner rather than using force against them,” he said.
He said that after shutting the schools across the Valley, the government has ordered closure of coaching centres in an undemocratic way. “After schools, the coaching centres were the only option for the students to get education but unfortunately the government has ordered the closure of these tuition centres too, which is highly condemnable,” he added.
Mir also said that the present situation in the Valley was never witnessed in last 70 years. “We condemn the government for making such situation in the Valley and also appeal them to restore the harmony among the people again,” he said. (KNS)
