Anantnag: Civilian injured in Anantnag militant attack succumbsA civilian injured after militants fired upon a police and CRPF party in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday has succumbed.
An official said that Shafeeq Shabir Shah, son of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a resident of Shopian was critically injured after militants fired upon the road opening party of the police and the CRPF at Lazibal chowk.
He was rushed to District Hospital Anantnag where from he was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
However, Shah succumbed on the way, said a source.
