Srinagar: Operational commander of the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant outfit was killed in Tral gunfight on Tuesday, Director General of Police S P Vaid claimed on Thursday in a tweet.
S P Vaid also shared a photograph of the slain JeM commander killed in Laam forests alongwith his three associates (two locals) during a gunfight with government forces. The slain commander identified as Mufti Yasir is seen with JeM chief Masood Azhar in the photograph.
“Operational commander of JeM Mufti Yasir was among those killed in joint operation in upper reaches of Tral,” DGP tweeted. (Agencies)
