The way girls are performing in all fields, boys might need reservation: Prez
Sagar, Apr 28: Expressing extreme elation at stupendous achievements of “Daughters of India ” at national and international platforms, President Ram Nath Kovind expressed apprehension of boys requiring reservation in future.
Mr Kovind expressed these views while addressing the 27th convocation of Dr Hari Singh Gour Central University in Sagar in Madhya Pradesh.
While distributing the gold medals, the President noted that out of the Eleven medals conferred, ten have been grabbed by girls. He further pointed out that thirty-two girls have been decorated with medals out of a tally of 53 medallists which shows that women stature is rising in the country.
Mr Kovind said that he sees the increasing women power a sign of social transformation. This is an indicator of a joyous and a brilliant future. He said “If girls continue with their ‘maginificent performance spree’, I am afraid boys might need reservation in coming days.”
In his fifteen minute short speech at the varsity campus, President Kovind praising the state said that Madhya Pradesh has earned the distinction of being the “heart of India” because cultural heritage and social diversity persists here like in no other state.
