Jammu, 29 Apr:A police official said that the mishap took place at about 09:30 am when a truck (bearing registration number JK02X 1647) hit the shepherd and his animals at Niali on Jammu-Poonch highway.
A shepherd was injured while five animals were killed after a truck mowed them down at Niali Manjakote on Sunday.

The injured Bakerwal, identified as Mohd Kabir, son of Abdul Hussain, resident of Gurdhan Rajouri, was shifted to Rajouri hospital for treatment.
Four goats and a sheep were killed while three goats sustained injuries in the mishap.
A case has been registered against the driver at Manjkote police station. His vehicle has been seized, said the official.(Agencies)
