Srinagar: A minor girl was allegedly raped in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said on Monday.
A person identified as Abdul Ahad Bhat, a resident of Yarikhan, Khan Sahab approached Police Station Khan Sahab with a complaint that his minor daughter (name withheld) has been raped by Mohammad Maqbool Rather, 22, son of Abdul Ahad Rather resident of village Yarikhah Khan Sahab, police said.
Police have taken the cognizance of the case and accordingly medical examination of the minor girl was conducted which confirmed the rape of the victim.
Police said that the accused is still at large and a hunt has been launched to arrest him. (Agencies)
