JRL meeting starts at Geelani’s residence
Srinagar: A meeting of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik started on Tuesday afternoon at Geelani’s Hyderpora residence where the octogenarian leader is undergoing house detention.
Sources said that Mirwaiz and Malik reached Hyderpora at 2:15 PM and immediately started deliberations with Geelani.
The meeting has assumed importance after Indian Home Minsiter Rajnath Singh recently stated that New Delhi was ready to talk to Hurriyat and Pakistan if they wanted a dialogue.
The JRL will discuss Delhi’s talks offer and its joint response to it, they said. (Agencies)
