Snake enters class room in Ganderbal School

Ganderbal: Panic gripped the Government school in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday after a snake entered a classroom.
The incident happened at Government High school Hayan Kangan operating in a ten shed and the snake entered class 6th through the main door and occupied the classroom.
After seeing the snake the students raised cry and all the students rushed out immediately.
Over a hundred students study in the school and as the news spread in the area the parents of the students gathered outside the school and pleaded with the authorities to ensure safety of their wards.
Meanwhile the snake (Ptyas mucosa), also known as the Oriental rat snake are a highly adaptable species and are commonly found in some areas. They often wander into the human habitation. (Agencies)
