Srinagar, Jun 03 (: Paying rich tributes to Molana Mohammad Yusuf shah on his 51st anniversary, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that Muhajir Millat was the forerunner for the people’s freedom movement in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement issued to KPS, hailing his political, social and religious contribution, Syed Ali Geelani said that Muhajir-e-Milat stood like a rock on his stand and added though Sheikh Abdullah and other pro-Indian Indian leaders tried their best to force him to submission, but late Mirwaiz despite all odds launched movement against autocratic rule of the time and fought in such a way that his name became immortal,”. “His greatest gift to his nation is the Tafsir e Qur’an and history of Jammu Kashmir remembers and will continue to remember Mirwaiz Yousuf Shah,” Geelani added.
Muhajir -e-Milat pursued his mission even in exile, Geelani said and added we are highly indebted to his scholarly and religious work of translation of Holy Quran in Kashmiri language.
Late Maulana had a great contribution in the ongoing liberation struggle, Geelani said and his social, political and religious contribution was exemplary and second to none during his time and he remained steadfast on his mission till his last breath.
Syed Ali Geelani described him as unique political and religious leader and great political analyst and said we hope Mirwaiz dynasty will continue their contribution for Islam and towards freedom movement.
Syed Ali Geelani strongly condemned the curfew like restrictions and imposition of stringent curbs in downtown, terming it frustration of ruling elite.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, a high level delegation comprising of Molvi Bashir Irfani, Hakim Ab Rashid and Imtiaz Ahmad Shah visited Buchwara Srinagar and extended their condolences with the family of slain youth Qaiser Ahmad, who was run over by an armoured vehicle .The deputation expressed deep grief over unfortunate incident and prayed for departed soul and forbiddances to grieved family .Deputation while lashing at rulers in Delhi and their stooges in state said that, it is because of their arrogance that we are facing worst situation and loosing precious souls.
