MLA Ganderbal visits bereaved family of Mohd Yousuf Khanday
Ishfaq appeals to maintain peace and brotherhood.
Ganderbal, : MLA Ganderbal on Sunday June 3 paid visits to the residence of Mohd Yousuf Khanday, who was found dead in
Shallabugh area of Central Kashmirs Ganderbal district and the family members and relatives of the deceased alleged that Khanday has been murdered.
Mr. Ishfaq stayed with the bereaved family and expressed his sympathy and solidarity with them. He prayed to the Almighty Allah for eternal peace to the departed soul beside a place for him in heaven.
Reacting to the situation emerging in the area, the NC leader said that law will take its own course and anyone involved in this heinous crime against humanity, will be given the deterrent punishment.
While addressing the people Ishfaq said that justice should not only be done but should appear to have been done and in view of the barbaric crime that a high level independent probe is held into the incident, so that no one can raise fingers about findings of such an investigation.
The family and the locals appealed to the MLA to take strict action against the killers.
The MLA spoke to the grief-stricken family and assured them that he has raised the issue with DG Police and SSP Ganderbal so as to take stringent action against the culprits and time bound enquiry in the case.
He has added that some miscreants are trying to take undue advantage of the situation.
“I have talked to senior members of the village. They have assured me that they would not allow anyone to exploit the situation,” he added
He has appealed people of Shallabugh to maintain love, peace and brotherhood as they had been always.
During the visit the MLA gave a patient hearing to the demands and grievances raised by the locals during which he assured to redress them at an earliest.
