Srinagar: A youth drowned in a river in Pattan area of Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
Locals said that the youth drowned in river Jhelum where he had gone to for swimming.
The boy was identified as Suhail Ahmad Hajam of Trikulbal Pattan.
“The body of the youth was later fished out and handed over to his next of kin for last rites,” police said. (Agencies)
