Brahmostavams: AP CM to present Silk Vastram to Lord Venkateswara on Sep 13

Tirumala, Jun 20 : Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will present Silk Vastram to Lord Venkateswara on September 13 on behalf of theState Government on the occasion of annual Brahmostavam, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer (JEO) K S Srinivasa Raju said.
As two Brahmotsavams are scheduled this year in Tirumala, Mr Raju reviewed on the arrangements to be made for the twin fete with all department heads. The four hour long review meeting took place at Annamaiah Bhavan on Tuesday.
He instructed the engineering officials to complete all the works related to Brahmotsavams by August 31.
Later he briefed the media persons about the preparatory measures and other important changes that were reviewed in the meeting.
Mr Raju said Salakatla Brahmotsavams will be held from September 13 to 21. The Important days included Dhwajarohanam on September 13, Garuda Seva on September 17, Swarnaratham on September 18, Rathotsavam on September 20, Chakrasnanam and Dhwajavarohanam on September 21.

He said the Navarathri Brahmotsavams will be held from October 10 to 18. The Important days includes Garuda Seva on October 14, Swarna Ratham on October 17 and Chakrasnanam on October 18.
Dhwajarohanam and Rathotsavam will be observed only during Salakatla Brahmotsavams, he added.
After consulting Agama Advisors, temple priests, Tirumala Jiyar Swami’s, the change of timings in Vahana sevas will be implemented this year, the JEO said, adding that morning Vahana sevas will be observed between 0900 hours and 1100 hours, evening Vahana sevas between 2000 hours and 2200 hours and Garuda Seva from 1900 onwards.
The Pournami Garuda Seva which falls on August 26 will be viewed as preparatory trial for all departments, Mr Raju said.
