3 Amarnath pilgrims, policeman injured in road mishaps in Kangan
Kangan: Three Amarnath pilgrims were injured in a road accident in Ganderbal on Saturday afternoon.
An Indica car bearing registration number PB03Y-6776 carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims from Baltal base camp to the Srinagar collided with a LP truck HP55A-1705 coming from opposite direction at Sumbal Bala Gund on the Srinagar-Leh highway in Ganderbal district resulting injuries to three persons travelling in the Indica car.
The injured pilgrims were identified as Rajesh kumar son of Bali Ram 35, Manesh kumar son of Parveen Kumar 22 and Karan Agarwal son of Dev Raj 24 all residents of Bathinda Punjab.
All the injured, pilgrims were shifted to sub District Hospital Kangan for treatment officials said.
Meanwhile, in a separate accident, a Tata mobile (Load Carrier) bearing registration number JK13C-4020 collided with a police Gypsy bearing registration number JK02AP-2178 at Ganiwan area of the central Kashmir district resulting in minor injuries to a Policeman identified as Sgct Sajad Ahmad belt number 1027/Security.
The injured cop was discharged after given first aid at the hospital.(Agencies)
