Thane, June 30 : City police have filed a fresh charge sheet against Dawood Ibrahim, Iqbal Kaskar, Anees Ibrahim and others in the district court, in connection with a 38-acre plot land deal of Gorai.
This is the third charge sheet filed against Kaskar.
Senior PI of AEC Pradeep Sharma said on Thursday that the charge sheet contains thousands of pages, carrying a number of evidences against the accused with the payment proofs, include statement of the witnesses.
The accused have been booked under Sections 384 (extortion), 386 (extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) and 387 (putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt, in order to commit extortion) of IPC at Thane Nagar police station.
The complainant stated in his complaint that after the land deal in 2015, the land owner made demand for additional sum.
At this stage, after about a year or two, Kaskar came into picture and then the extortion drama started, the complaint stated. Kaskar asked the complainant to forget the advance of Rs two crore paid and made a demand for additional Rs one crore, failing which the complainant was threatened of dire consequences.
