Hurriyat (M) takes note on fresh wave of killing spree in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 30 : Taking strong note of the fresh wave of killing spree in Kashmir coupled with the detention and house confinement of pro freedom leaders and framing resistance leaders under fake and fictitious cases by NIA and ED, Hurriyat Conference (M) said that all these steps are being taken under a well planned conspiracy to break the resolve of people of Kashmir and the resistance leadership.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat (M) termed these ploys as nothing but a sheer and worst ever political vendetta.
“NIA has no moral justification for framing fake charges against senior resistance leader Asiya Andrabi and her close side Fehmeeda Sofi as the duo are already languishing in prison since long and that these steps are nothing but a mere frustration of New Delhi who has failed to break the resolve of people of Kashmir,” the statement said.
Hurriyat said arresting resistance leaders and lodging them in jails to muzzle the movement for right to self determination was tried in the past but failed to yield results for Delhi and now same old methods are being employed which are destined to fail.
The Hurriyat lauded the patience and courage of resistance leaders lodged in Dehlis notorious jail Tihar that include Shabir Ahmed Shah, Advocate Shahidul Islam, Ghulam Muhamamd Bhat, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Mehrajudin Kalwal, Nayeem Khan, Shahid Yousuf, Muhamamd Aslam Wani, Farooq Ahmed Dar and Zahoor Ahmed Watali while as others who are lodged in various other prisons that include Masrat Alam Bhat, Muzaffar Dar, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, Muhamamd Shafi Sheraati, Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, Muhamamd Yousuf Mir, Tariq Ahmed Dar, Manzoor Ahmed, Muhamamd Yousuf Falahi, Abdul Gani Dar, Ghulam Muhamamd Khan Sopori, Shakeel Ahmed Itoo, Mir Hafizulah, Ameer Hamzah Shah, Abdul Rashid Mugloo, Sirajudin and Farooq Ahmed Towheedi.
Hurriyat (M) said all these prisoners deserve all the appreciation for their courage and patience. The statement said and the same time strongly condemns all the fake charges against them and demands their immediate release
Meanwhile, Hurriyat (M) strongly condemned the detention of its senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and lodging him in police station Sherbagh, Islamabad.
