Weather to improve on Sun, more rain predicted from Monday onwards in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 30 :  Weather will improve on Sunday though more rains are predicted from Monday onwards in Kashmir valley, where a flood alert has been issued following increase in the water level in Jhelum river and its tributaries due to incessant rain.

A Met department spokesperson told UNI that light to moderate rain and thundershowers would occur at many places in the state during the next 24 hours. “There will be decrease in rainfall activity in the state on Sunday,” he said.

However, he said more rains are predicted from Monday onwards in the state. Meanwhile, incessant rains continued during the next 48 hours in the valley, where maximum and minimum temperatures settled several degrees below normal.

Incessant rains continued to lash Srinagar, resulting in a considerable dip into the temperature.
