Kunzer, Jul 05 : Democratic Party Nationalist held Public Meeting at Kunzer town Hall today. The meeting was attended by thousands of people. The meeting was addressed by GH Hassan Mir, President, Democratic Party Nationalist.
In his speech Mir said time is ripe to save our youth from violence and give them a hope and way forward for a dignified future.
“Our youth has lost the will to live a dignified life instead they prefer death over life. There is need to rekindle the hope to live in our youth,” Mir said.
Mir further said that political prisoners should also be released as a confidence building measure.
On the electricity scenario, Mir said that the power development department though is in possession of transformers but in the absence of cable & poles the department couldn’t install them & as a result general masses suffer. Mir urged the Governor Administration to address this issue.
Mir said, the Governors Rule in J&K has brought solace to the general public and the people feel relaxed, Mir said that during the early government the functioning of Government institutions had become politicised because of which common people were suffering.
Former minister said that Governor has to settle the burning issues which has crippled the functioning of the departments, Governor has at an earliest to settle the issue of SSA Teachers, casual labourers, Anganwadi workers,(2)Mir said that tourism on which a large section of the people is dependent is in shambles, the governments attention towards this sector is needed,(3)The developmental work is invisible on ground.
The condition of the roads all over is in bad condition. Maintinance of roads is important, Mir said that some projects which were started by the earlier Govt were stopped by the coalition Govt. Work on these projects is to be started .Mir said that youth has suffered much during the earlier Govt. Mir urged the Governor to address the issues related to the youth.
He said that that involvement of the common people in identifying the works in rural development department. DPN president said that our party will work for peace and development of the state.
He asked the people to strengthen the hands of our party so that state is out of the turmoil. Mir said that our party will work for the strengthening of the democratic institutions of the state.
The meeting was also addressed by Gen sec Nazir Ahmad Dailgami, Ab Karim Dar, Farooq Ahmad Dar and others. (Agencies)
