Hakeem hails introduction of Biometric attendance system
Srinagar, Jul 24 : While hailing introduction of Biometric attendance system as a good reform to ensure punctuality in offices, Chairman PDF and MLA Khansahib Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has sought attention of the authorities towards uncertainty being faced by the field staff posted in remote area.
In a statement issued to KPS, he said thousands of field workers in remote areas are in a fix today. “How can a worker or employee posted in a remote farm can mark his attendance where biometric system was impracticable,” Hakeem questioned.
He said most of the employees and daily rated workers deployed on field duty in remote areas have complained that they are unable to mark their attendance.
In a statement issued today Hakeem Yaseen has said though introduction of Biometric attendance system was a good reform to ensure punctuality in offices, the administration should immediately come out with elaborate attendance guidelines for those field employees and workers who are deployed on field duty in remote areas so that the prevailing ambiguity in this regard is cleared.
He said many deputations of low paid and daily rated field workers have called on him and expressed their difficulties as there are no biometric machines installed in their respective areas.
He has called for addressing apprehensions of the concerned employees and workers at the earliest.
Hakeem has asked the Governor administration to also focus on disposal of cases in the offices so that grievances of the people on account of alleged red tap is redressed. He has called for a robust file disposal mechanism in offices to make officers accountable.
