Budgam: The Asha workers of Sub-district hospital Charar-e-Shareef and the patients on Wednesday locked the hospital premises after the lone Gynecologist posted at the hospital was attached to District Hospital Budgam for weekly night duty.
The order was issued by CMO Budgam.
The protesting patients and Asha’s said that the order will impact the smooth functioning of the hospital as the Gynecologist will avail a three day off at SDH Charar against her night duty at DH Budgam.
The doctors attending night duties take three days off, 1 ahead of the night and 2 days post the night duty.
The protesters locked the hospital premises and demanded immediate revocation of the order. (Agencies)
