Kangan, 26 jul : Traffic movement resumed on Gagangeer-Sonamarag stretch of Srinagar-Leh highway on Thursday morning after remaining closed for nearly twelve hours, said an official.
He said the road stretch was closed around 8 pm last night after incessant rains triggered a landslide in Hung area, 10 kilometre from Sonamarag.
He said that men and machinery were pressed into service to clear the highway.
A traffic official at Sonamarag told Greater Kashmir that both light and heavy-motor vehicles were allowed to ply on the highway from 7:30 am today. (Agencies)
