Srinagar, July 31: Scores of SRTC workers on Tuesday staged demonstrations here in this capital city against the closure of yard in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Early this morning, scores of drivers and workers of the state-run SRTC assembled at Press Colony here and staged anti-government demonstrations. Chanting slogans, the protesters alleged that the sudden closure of SRTC depot yard at Sopore has caused them immense inconvenience.
“Our vehicles have been confiscated by the police. All our seized vehicles have been kept at the district police lines,” the protesters said.
The protesters sought early release of the Sopore yard. (Agencies)
