Srinagar: Funeral prayers in absentia were held in Maisuma area of Srinagar on Sunday for slain militants and a civilian killed in a gunfight and clashes in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Reports said that people assembled at Maisuma after Zuhr prayers and offered the funeral prayers for the slain militants and the civilian.
Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik had asked people to offer prayers.
