Srinagar: Scores of traders on Sunday staged a demonstration in this capital city against the assault on Article-35A, which grants special rights and privileges to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Scores of traders under the banner of Kashmir Traders and Manufactures Federation (KTMF) Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) and Federation of chamber of commerce and industries, Kashmir (FCIK) assembled near the historic Ganta Ghar here and registered their protest over attempts to dilute special status of the state.
Carrying placards and shouting slogans, the protesters pledged to fight tooth and nail any attempt to abrogate Article-35A.
The members of over 20 trade organisations also took out a protest march from Ganta Ghar to Press Colony here.
