Appealing for ‘support’, pellet victims protest in Srinagar

Srinagar: Pellet gun victims of Kashmir on Saturday sought “support” of general public during a peaceful protest, sources said.

The Pellet victims staged a silent protest here in press enclave.

Under the banner of Pellet Victim’s Welfare Trust (PVWT) the victims appealed the citizens of Kashmir for their “support and care”.

Thousands of people in Kashmir mostly youth sustained pellet injuries during last few years during clashes with government forces.

Pellets fired by government forces have affected the eyesight of hundreds of such youth.
