Sopore: Massive clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in Sopore subdivision of Baramulla district over Supreme Court hearing the plea to abrogate article 35A of constitution of India.
According to locals students of Degree College Sopore hit roads rallying from the college campus.
“Stone pelting erupted on the forces deployed at Main Chowk,” locals said.
A spontaneous shutdown was observed in the town as shopkeepers downed shutters to protest tinkering with the provision of the constitution defining permanent resident’s of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. (Agencies)
