Srinagar: Students from different schools of Uri town on Tuesday protested against the murder of minor girl, who was found dead in a forest two days ago.
Students from Boniyar area of border town took to streets, demanding that culprits be arrested soon, witnesses said.
On September 3, the minor girl’s body was found in Uri’s Trinkanjan forest area, ten days after she went missing.
Earlier, police in its report had said that the girl might have been killed by the wild animals. But, later it was confirmed that she had been murdered. However, police could not confirm if the girl was raped before her murder.
