Srinagar: The government on Thursday appointed Dilbag Singh as the new Director General of police (DGP) relieving Dr SP Vaid, who held the post for nearly two years.
Singh, who is currently holding the charge of DGP (Prisons), was appointed as new Director General of Police (DGP) of the state.
The order in this regard was issued by the Home Department tonight.
“Dr SP Vaid is transferred and his services are at the disposal of General administration department for further posting as Transport commissioner,” the order issued by RK Goyal, Principal Secretary to government , Home Department read.
