JK Govt extends Group Mediclaim Health Insurance Scheme to Accredited Journalists

Srinagar: In a significant decision, JK Govt on Wednesday extended Group Mediclaim Health Insurance Scheme to Accredited Journalists in the State.

Under the Scheme an Accredited Journalist +5 family members would be covered under health insurance cover of Rs 6 lakh per annum, official sources said.

The Accredited Journalists shall have to pay yearly premium as admissible to the State Government employees. The insured Journalists can avail cashless out-patient & in-patient health facilities at around 4700 recognized hospitals, within and outside the State.
