Baramulla: A mosque was gutted in a fire incident early Friday at Khawaja Bagh area of Baramulla in north Kashmir, reports said.
They said that fire broke out in the second storey of Masjid Rehmat at Jetty area of Khawaja Bagh Baramulla resulting in completely damage to the second floor of the mosque.
Locals and fire tender rushed to the spot and prevented the fire from spreading to nearby locality and controlled the fire, however, the second storey of the mosque suffered extensive damage.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, police said.
