Srinagar: Five militants were killed in Tangdar sector along the Line of Control, in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district army said on Monday taking the militant death toll to Five.
Two militants were killed in the sector on Sunday, army said.
An army spokesman said “Four more militants (total Five) killed in Tangdar sector.”
He added “One soldier was also killed in the operation.”
According to army an infiltration bid was foiled, during which two militants were killed Yesterday and three on Monday. The operation was under process in which a soldier was also killed.
A search operation was launched by the army in the dense woods along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tangdar sector of frontier Kupwara district on Sunday.
