Srinagar: The casual labours of Irrigation and PHE departments stage protest against their departments as they are suffering since years due to lack of payment. Although, the departments make time and again fake promises to its labours.
They launched a protest on Thursday At Rajbagh Chief Engineering Office PHE & Irrigation Complex and warned the higher authority if they don’t fullfill their promises before 2nd oct, they will bring their families and launch the protest in pratab park.
Mechanical Irrigation Employess Federation ‘s Patrion Farooq Ahmad Khan “We are not paid even on EID days, our families are suffering, our children are sent back from schools because we are unable to pay the school fee. We request the Governor authority to interfere so that we can get justice, otherwise we will launch a mass agitation.”
“The authority always takes work from us. We run all schemes and make people feel comfortable but in return our families are living hard life. We are unable to ease our families” said Sajad Parry.
The Casual labours closed the Main chief offices of Irrigation and PHE and warned more agitation in future if demads are not fulfilled.
