Congress candidate withdraws nomination papers from ward 71 of Srinagar city
Srinagar: After the killing of two National Conference workers in the heart of Srinagar city, one more candidate has withdrawn his nomination papers from Ward Number 71 of Srinagar city.
Muhammad Ramzan Dar son of Abdul Ahad a resident of Rangpora Divipora had filed nomination papers on Congress ticket from Ward Number 71 from Ahmed Nagar.
Dar told news agency CNS that he has withdrawn the nomination papers keeping the volatile situation in view. “I apologize to the people of Kashmir and today I feel being a Kashmiri I shouldn’t have done this. I have withdrawn the papers without any pressure and I apologize to all those who got hurt by my act,” he said adding that he has nothing to do with Congress party.
