Srinagar: Amid the ongoing civic polls in the state, clashes broke out between the government forces and protestors on Monday in Bagh-e-Mehtab and Machuwa area of Srinagar.

According to reports, amid the complete shutdown, a group of protestors assembled near the railway bridge in Machuwa and pelted the stones on government forces already deployed near the bridge. however, there were no injuries reported from the site.

The government forces responded to the protestors by firing teargas shells. Meanwhile, the polls in the area are going on. (Agencies)
